 Hello team.

 I loved gaim for a long time and i want to love pidgin, but it crashes
 shortly after starting up and logging into MSN.  This happens every single
 time for me.

 I've tried removing the installation (pidgin and GTK) and reinstalling to
 no avail.

 I cannot get a stacktrace - there is no output from pidgin.exe when the
 crash occurs. The total is:

 Could not open reg subkey: SOFTWARE\GTK\2.0
 Error: (2) The system cannot find the file specified.

 Operating system is XP pro 2002 SP 2.

 I have previously run gaim with varying degrees of success.

 GTK+ path found: C:\Program Files\Common Files\GTK\2.0\bin
 Using SetDllDirectory
 Setting locale: LANG=en

 The windows event viewer shows:

 Faulting application pidgin.exe, version 2.0.0.0, faulting module
 libpurple.dll, version 2.0.0.0, fault address 0x00038d9d.

 It does log into MSN but crashes shortly after.

 It does consistently crash when trying to log out of MSN.

 The time of crash if left alone to log into MSN is under 30 seconds.
