 have no alias set for myself. However I may be one or two revisions back
 with mtn branch, I last updated it about monday.

 I have updated to the latest mtn revision (msnp14 branch) and I still see
 the issue as reported above: my buddies see my new friendly name, but
 going back to Accounts -> My msn account -> Set friendly name I still see
 the old one.
