 Note that this fix will likely only address the issues similar to closing
 the conversation window early. If you have a problem regarding this when
 you leave the conversation window open please file a different ticket
 (after searching to make sure no such ticket already exists).

 I'll also add that if you have 'CAL gave error 208' in your debug logs
 then that is an indication that the server  told us that the screen name
 given is invalid - you should double check that you sent the message to
 the right address. If this is a buddy it might be worth removing & re-
 adding them.
