 The attachment, at least the one I see, is the truss output when the
 problem is occurring. This is different then a stack trace when the
 problem is occurring.

 When pidgin is looping run 'pstack <process id of pidgin>' a few times and
 attach the output. If its the same each time you run it then just attach
 one copy. If the stack is changing from put however many you find. For
 example
