 I copied my old gaim blist.xml from <dot>gaim directory to <dot> purple
 directory
 and changed gaim to purple in all the instances.

 What I expected is reflection of my old buddylist in new pidgin but it did
 not.
 all this i did because it kept on complaining about its inability of
 adding list due to the size.
 I Dont know what size it means .. It simply said my buddy list is huge.

 then I changed my blist permissions to chmod a+r and removed write
 permissions
 then I made the owner ship to root instead of user ... through out my
 blist got changed.
