Comment:

 To make automatic intallations...
 for example upgrading from gaim to pidgin on multiple computers.

 For example in companys with many computers to install/upgrade (from gaim)
 to this free instant-messaging.
 Maybe you can offer only the .exe file and in other section offer the .msi
 installer for administrators. Without garanty and telling that the only
 supported and mantained installer is the .exe file.
