 I found the following issues when trying to build from
 pidgin-2.0.1-0.src.rpm on OpenSuse 10.2:

 1)  Line 427 had to be changed to %files -n libpurple-mono to allow the
 build to succeed with "_with_mono" set to 1..  The "-n" was missing.

 2)  GConf2, at least on OpenSuse 10.2, is in lowercase, viz. gconf2.
 Lines 78, 79. and 80 had to converted to lowercase to allow the built RPM
 to install without errors on OpenSuse 10.2.
