 Hmmm ... we can hack it. If this "protocol" thing is well-established, we
 can create a single widget and set its "protocol" right before passing it
 to the callback. We could even make it a GtkMenuItem. It's terrible, but
 it'd work, as long as plugins don't expect to be able to modify the
 protocols/accounts menu.
