Comment:

 I'm targetting this for 2.0.2 and hopefully I'll have it reviewed by then.

 As far as the mass-closing of bugs... we had reached a point where we had
 way too many out-of-date bug reports and the trackers were basically
 unusable. The fact that your simple patch fell through the cracks is a
 perfect example of the problem. We decided that "starting over" was the
 best way to deal with an unpleasant situation.

 I do need to go and manually move over patches at some point. I don't
 recall this item from the patches tracker, though.
