 Yes, the patch has been cleanly applied. I used his actual patch, it
 applied cleanly, and we're building on a clean FCS Solaris 9 install with
 gmake. It still fails to build unless I specifically define
 _XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED without the ifdef statement. I just verified this
 once again.
