 I am running Ubuntu unstable (Gutsy) and my Pigin (installed from the
 repos) is crashing on startup. The contact list shows up, but disappears
 again after 2-3 seconds.

 $ gconftool-2 --version
 2.18.0.1

 $ pidgin --version
 2.0.0
