 David Thulson posted a fascinating XMPP file transfer compatibility matrix
 on the
 [http://www.igniterealtime.org/forum/thread.jspa?threadID=26197&tstart=0
 Ignite Realtime Spark Support Forum]. He tested interoperability between
 Spark, Pidgin, Psi, and Pandeon, and concluded about Pidgin 2.0.0, "Pidgin
 does have a lot of work to do in XMPP file transfers. It can't even send
 to other Pidgin clients (although it can send to Spark and Psi), and
 nothing else can send to a Pidgin client."
