I know in ticket 823 it's mentioned that Bonjour support isn't included in
the Windows version of Pidgin because there's no library you can use.
However, I know that Apple freely distributes a Windows installation of
the Bonjour protocol, and Xurble has created a plugin for another chat
client, Miranda, which utilizes Apple's installed Bonjour library instead
 distributing a standalone library.

Could you do this for Pidgin? Even if you can't distribute your own
Bonjour library, perhaps you could either make Pidgin work off of a pre-
installed Apple Bonjour library, or perhaps Apple would let you distribute
their Bonjour library with Pidgin? It would be a fabulous addition to an
 otherwise stellar product!
