#3808: nat-pmp issues on dragonfly bsd
-----------------------+----------------------------------------------------

At first I tried to install v 2.2.2 on DragonFly BSD 1.10.1 RELEASE. It
compiled and installed fine but when I ran it (w/ pidgin -d on my xterm)
and it seems to be hanging at "nat-pmp: Attempting to retrieve the public
ip address..." (see attached script), the Welcome window doesnt come up at
all. I thought maybe I had dependency issues so I downloaded the latest
NetBSD pkgsrc and built Pidgin v2.2.1. Again that installed fine but I got
similar results. What I had to do to get Pidgin working was to comment out
the call to purple_pmp_get_public_ip in the function
purple_network_get_my_ip() from the file libpurple/network.c. On my
FreeBSD box this nat-pmp stuff is not an issue. It seems to just skip over
it. Perhaps this nat-pmp stuff can be disabled at ./configure time.
