Comment:

 You need to select the server you want to search on, hit Ok, then hit
 Cancel on the Search info window, this works on vjud.pidgin.im at least.
 We send a jabber:iq:search cancel and get back an iq error 400, modify,
 bad-request. I'd post the xml but you can find it yourself just as easily.
