 I needed this to be able to stop processing on a jabber packet that I had
 already processed
 in a perl plugin. You need to null the XMLNode for that, but since there
 was no code for
 PURPLE_TYPE_SUBTYPE in perl_signal_cb check for changed params, that
 wasn't possible from perl.
