Comment (by wild_oscar):

 Lack of direct file transfer protocol in MSN (and lack of webcam support)
 is what made me give up on pidgin and start using aMSN instead.

 I will gladly go back - and recommend pidgin - once these features are
 present, so I hope they can be implemented as soon as possible!
