 I don't think that MS is blocking non-Windows clients, 'case I had Pidgin
 on my laptop with Fedora 7 working with MSN about an hour ago.
 Unfortunately, I've removed Fedora 7 and I'm installing OpenSuSE on my
 laptop right now, so I can't tell you exact setting.
 Try these settings:

 Server: messenger.hotmail.com
 Port: 1863
 Use HTTP Method: checked
 HTTP Method server: messenger.hotmail.com
 }}}
 As I recall, I synced up "Server" and "HTTP Method server" settings.
