 The case here is thus:
 I prefer to close my windows when I'm not talking for a few minutes, so
 with buddies who I speak sporadically with throughout the day I tend to
 have many 'conversations' of three or four lines. There are generally
 threads running throughout all of these that I'd like to be able to
 follow.

 Trillian's implementation of the history functionality keeps loading
 conversations up to the size limit; I intend to create a patch to make
 History do something similar.
