I'm having the same issue as the original poster, except there is no
combination of settings that allow me to connect. The gtalk IM client
will connect just fine and I am able to use that, but I'd like to use
pidgin for both AIM and gtalk. Pidgin connects fine to the AOL servers,
but it has never connected to the gtalk servers properly. Here is a list
of the outputs for various settings used. Additionally, I've tried all of
the below with and without the "allow plaintext" option, but I have not
included those logs. I am also happy to include further debugging
information in the form of debug window logs, ethereal logs (from the
gtalk app also, if it helps), or whatever you guys want if it will help
resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance.
