 Just to give an update, here's another big patchfile....here are the steps
 followed:
 1. Salinasv merged branches as above suggested by rlaager, so made the
 patch work against im.pidgin.pidgin branch.
 2. I made the diff with the revision he merged with, then tried patching
 against latest snapshots.
 3. Having a couple of rejects, I manually fixed them: they were simply
 related to the fact msn protocol now follows libpurple/MSNP9 folder, so it
 was an easy work.
 The result posted above is a patchfile working with one of the latest
 snapshots.
