 Hello,

 I just downloaded a fresh copy of Pidgin 2.3.0, installed it in Windows
 XP, and attempted to connect to a server running Mac OS X 10.5, "Leopard".

 I have tried with SSL and without, using the "Old SSL" and every other
 option on both sides of the connection. The server logs show me this when
 I try to connect with "Force old (port 5223) SSL" enabled, which worked
 for Tiger (10.4) server:

 {{{
 Nov 26 17:05:40 yamnuska jabberd/c2s[80307]: [8] [198.161.xx.xxx,
 port=1195] connect
 Nov 26 17:05:40 yamnuska jabberd/c2s[80307]: [8] [198.161.xx.xxx,
 port=1195] disconnect
 Nov 26 17:06:57 yamnuska jabberd/c2s[80307]: [8] [198.161.xx.xxx,
 port=1200] connect
 Nov 26 17:06:57 yamnuska jabberd/c2s[80307]: [8] [198.161.xx.xxx,
 port=1200] error: XML parse error (not well-formed (invalid token))
 Nov 26 17:06:57 yamnuska jabberd/c2s[80307]: [8] [198.161.xx.xxx,
 port=1200] disconnect
 }}}

 The client says "SSL Handshake Failed". If I use the "Require SSL/TLS"
 option and uncheck the "Force Old..." option, the client tells me, "Server
 does not use any supported authentication method." On the server it shows
 only one "connect" message followed by a "disconnect" in the same second.
 Likewise if I disable SSL on the server and the client.

 Any suggestions?

 Thanks
