 For the last several weeks, I have been having a very odd problem with my
 SameTime Buddies.

 I work for Kaiser Permanente, which uses Lotus and Sametime.  For as long
 as I've used Pidgin (back when it was GAIM), it has integrated pretty
 seamlessly.  I almost always have Lotus Notes open, as my mail client at
 work, and it logs me in to SameTime.  I also leave Pidgin open, and logged
 into the same account, as I often need to chat with people both inside and
 outside of SameTime.  A few weeks ago, it all when to hell.  Now, if I
 look for online buddies in Lotus Notes, it shows about everyone who is on.
 If I simultaneously look on the (same) list in Pidgin, only a few users
 show as online.  Sometimes, over time, the number increases until it is
 close to what Lotus shows.  If I have to reboot, the process starts over,
 with very few users showing.
 If I remove a buddy, and re-add them, it finds them as online right away.
 This whole thing sort of reminds me of the old IRC netsplits  I'm really
 not sure what's going on here, but it's really frustrating.  Usually, if
 someone Pidgin shows as offline messages me, Lotus opens a chat window
 from them.  Sometimes, however, a Pidgin chat window will open, but show
 that user as off line.  If I reply, I can leave a buddy pounce, but not
 communicate directly.  Somehow, though, the message seems to go through,
 because even though they show as off line, they reply to the message that
 my Pidgin tells me hasn't been sent yet.

 I'm using 2.2.2 on an  XP system, on the KP intra/internet.  This actually
 started a week or so before I upgraded to 2.2.2, and I was hoping that the
 upgrade might resolve the issue.  It hasn't.

 Any suggestions?
