 Arguing about numbers won't help.  I think this ticket gets its point
 across that there are people who care.  I also think you've proven your
 point quite well that simply changing it back is a pretty dumb solution.
 Can we move on and make it a goal of the next release to have some method
 of configuring the alert color(s) of tabs?  Possibly submit a ticket to
 that extent?
