 A friends plugin should show the connection between me and the person I
 chat with.

 The plugin should show this at the chat window: (draft)

 The chatter should only be allow to see the Jabber-ID of a person, if this
 person allow explicitly to show the Jabber-ID a specified person.

 I know there's no XEP for this, but may you can create a XMPP extension
 for this friends plugin.

 I think that this plugin will be the killer application for Pidgin and
 XMPP. It freed you from commercial online friends platforms.
