 For some reason--although it doesn't happen now--when I minimized Pidgin's
 convo window, then I restored it... all the text from the IM convo was
 enormous, broken, and more. Pidgin would not respond (I couldn't close the
 convo window), and the GUI was broken during this time. However, the buddy
 list was fine.

 As I said, it doesn't happen now, but it could happen.
