 Yes this would be cool, but note that gnome-vfs will be deprecated soon.
 GNOME is moving away from gnome-vfs to gio/gvfs. It's not stable right now
 but nautilus in GNOME 2.22 will use it, which means it will probably be
 stable enough for Pidgin in about 5 month from now.

 Moving to gvfs directly would be cool, because it is cross-platform and
 will be part of glib at some point.
