 Hi folks:

 It would be a great benifit if it would be possible to turn on and off
 sound notifications on specific IRC channels.  Turning them all on while
 in a busy channel (like #gentoo or #ubuntu) would rapidly lead to
 psychosis, while it is very frustrating not to have any notifications

 as a further step, the ability to set a specifc sound to a specific user
 and / or channel would be nice
