 The top-to-bottom ordering of buddies in the contact is the order in which
 pidgin attempts to use them when all else is equal, an away account is
 given less precedence than an available account, idle factors in as well,
 etc. This is designed exactly to let you prefer one account/buddy over the
 others when they are all equal and to give you a better shot of actually
 getting to the person when only one account is available.

 Some recent changes in pidgin will make the close-conversation-reopen-
 immediately scenario always use the correct buddy also, but as an
 incidental not intentional side-effect. There is also the Send To menu in
 the conversation menu for exactly this reason.
