 I am attaching a patch that should fix this problem. I did not use the
 Expires:0 method, however. Instead, before unregistering, I PUBLISH a
 status of closed. According to the PIDF standard this implies that the
 party is unavailable to receive instant messages. I have tested this patch
 and things appear to work. I am interested in your feedback. I will make
 any changes necessary!
