 I am having almost the same problem as originally posted. About once a
 day, I will have the message "You have been connecting and disconnecting
 too frequently. Wait ten minutes and try again. If you continue to try,
 you will need to wait even longer." and my aim account is disabled. I try
 to enable it and that works, but I can't connect. After waiting a while, I
 try to connect again and it works and all is normal for quite a while.

 I'm running Pidgin 2.2.0 on Ubuntu 7.04, and it was installed from a 3rd
 party repo. Gaim 2.0.3 beta (or whatever was installed be default) never
 had this problem.

 I'd be happy to provide whatever sort of logs needed as long as someone
 explains how they would like them collected. Thanks.
