 Pidgin 2.1.1 crashes on startup.  I had Gaim installed before (don't
 remember what version) and uninstalled it before installing Pidgin.

 I've tried installing and de-installing various version of GTK/GTK+ (is
 there a difference) but Pidgin still crashes on startup.

 I've noticed a couple of tickets about Pidgin crashes on startup, but none
 referred specifically to an access violation in ntdll.dll .
