 Hi,
I've ultimately noted on IRC that some NickServs (it's random -- I connect
to multiple networks and always _only_ _one_ NickServ has this problem --
I suppose it depends on the "connection sequence") don't automatically
identify my nick. So I do:

 "identify pass"

 NickServ replies:

"Too many parameters. Expected no more than 2. Got 11."

Then I can reissue the identify command and I get identified.

I tracked the problem down sniffing the network traffic. Here's what
 pidgin is actually sending:

 "PRIVMSG NickServ :identify <my_pass_here> \t \t\t\t\t \t \t \t \t \t
 \t \t\t \t "

Yer, there are more than 11 arguments, but I'm quite sure the bug is here.

This happens also in private queries (tested always on IRC, not sure about
other protocols). The very first messages (can't tell if only the first of
the few first) have lots of \t's appended (as reported from people I've
 talked in privmsg on IRC).

It would be very useful to fix this.

 Thank you,
 David
