 Just to clarify, the Y7 method in this patch _is_ receive-only. However,
 AFAIK sending via the old method still worked before the patch, and it
 shouldn't be affected by the patch either. Receiving via the old method
 should still work as well -- the patch doesn't (intend to) remove any
 functionality.
