 I changed the name of the tmp2 (a non-descriptive, but functional name)
 variable to basicstatus_data. I also added a call to
 purple_prpl_got_user_status() in the case where the SIP server does not
 respond with any PIDF in the body of the notify message.

 The documentation for purple_prpl_got_user_status() was a bit confusing:
 Does this function "change" a user's status or does it "initialize" a
 user's status? From the way it is used, I would assume the former.
 However, the documentation makes it appear that it's the latter.
