#3617: doesn't work properly if mdnsresonder is installed in a non-standard
location

if apple's bonjour is installed in a non-standard location (such as by the
gizmo project installer), bonjour messaging in pidgin won't work
correctly, at least with another pidgin client. you can also test this by
 copying dnssd.dll, mdnsNSP.dll, and mDNSResponder.exe to a windows machine
(somewhere on the system search path) that doesn't have bonjour installed
and launching mDNSResponder.exe from a command prompt with -server as an
argument to run it stand alone and not as a service. Then run pidgin. A
machine with bonjour properly installed will see the machine that doesn't,
but not vice versa and im's don't send to the client with the abnormal
 bonjour either.

mostly I would want this fixed so that bonjour messenger/portable pidgin
could be used from a USB key on any machine on our network without having
to have bonjour installed on every machine on the network that I may need
to work on. This would allow me to contact other techs even if they were
working on another machine in the network w/o calling them (or knowing
 what extension they are at)
