 Hi,

 I have this very strange problem with Pidgin 2.1.1 (Linux) and one
 particular buddy: It does not matter the setting of the 'Hide New IM
 conversation' option; *almost* every message she sends me will cause the
 IM conversation window to pop up (MSN).

 I tried disabling every single plugin in the system, but it did not help.
 I also noticed that it appears to not happen if I have the "Buddy List"
 window open, but I'm not entirely sure.

 I've been using gaim for quite a while and I don't remember seeing
 anything like this. Previously, I'd see the usual (and in my case
 desirable) blinking icon on new messages, but that was all. The really
 puzzling aspect is that it *only* happens with her, who uses the "latest"
 (according to her) version of Windows Live Messenger.
