 Pidgin crashes frequently, and always when I'm exchanging IMs with
 somebody. I've noticed only one other relevant symptom: right before
 crashing, an IM will have just been sent, and the conversation window will
 scroll into view only the top half of this line, leaving the bottom half
 hidden. I'm assuming the whole line was printed as the scrollbar handle
 (or whatever it's called -- the sliding whatchamacallit) hasn't moved all
 the way down.

 This happens to me all the time, about once an hour.

 I'm running Ubuntu Gutsy, updated to October 21, on a Dell Inspiron 1521.
