 Neat, I can also sign on after making that change.  Is there any reason I
 shouldn't check that in?  Does it break anything?

 Our QQ protocol plugin is basically unmaintained, and we don't really have
 the time or knowledge to improve it... it sounds like you know what you're
 doing, want to help out?
