 This is related to bug #2476.  That bug just asks for an auto-return from
 away, while I can see that as an enhancment, it seems the auto away
 functionality is relatively defective.  Namely, if one goes auto away, its
 relatively defective without being able to auto-return when no longer
 idle.

 Once I send a message while in an "auto away" (vs. manual) state, it
 should return to available status.
