Comment:

 Yes, I can repeat it consistently in 2.2.2/GTK 2.12.1 with everything but
 lib*.dll removed from the plugins folder.

 However, if I turn off the tray icon, the problem instantly disappears. I
 wonder if you don't use the tray icon?
