Type: enhancement | Status: new
Priority: minor | Component: unclassified
Version: 2.2.2 | Keywords: spelling editing

Use case 1 -
johnny types and sends a few lines of text in pidgin to jane, who is also
using pidgin -
johnny: hello jane. nce duy isnt it?[[BR]]
jane: what do you mean?[[BR]]
johhny: iws comnting on teh wehther[[BR]]
jane: i dont understand[[BR]]
johnny realises his typing is awful, and rather than reiterating what he
already said, you merely clicks in the text that has already been sent,
and edits it in place. when he moves the focus back in to the message
typing area, his edits are sent out to jane's client, which updates the
text on her end, and somehow highlights or indicates the changes.
Use case 2 -
johnny types and sends a few lines of text in pidgin to jane, who is also
using another messaging client, for instance MSN Messenger -
johnny: hello jane. nce duy isnt it?[[BR]]
jane: what do you mean?[[BR]]
johhny: iws comnting on teh wehther[[BR]]
jane: i dont understand[[BR]]
johnny realises his typing is awful, and rather than reiterating what he
already said, you merely clicks in the text that has already been sent,
and edits it in place. when he moves the focus back in to the message
typing area, his edits are sent out to jane's client as new lines of text,
as if he had re-entered each of the edited sentences one after the other.
