 When upgrading Pidgin, any custom smiley packs are removed by the
 automated uninstall process that occurs at the beginning of the upgrade.

 I have noticed this issue in the upgrade from 2.2.0 to 2.2.1, and again in
 the upgrade from 2.2.1 to 2.2.2. (This issue may also be present in older
 installers, however, I haven't had the time to check.)
