 I realize there are a few tickets regarding the backspace beep problem.
 Further, I can appreciate Pidgin's stance that the new GTK library is at
 fault. Please Pidgin, you have developed a devoted following and this
 issue could potentially lose you users.

 Imagine I have a VERY important event coming up and need a very special
 cake, so I go to my favorite baker (who has always been outstanding) and
 order the cake. Sometime later, I get the cake and bring it to the event.
 Unfortunately, while tasty, the cake makes everyone sick. I go back to my
 favorite baker (we are basically friends at this point, I have been using
 their bakery for years) and let them know of the problem. The baker
 responds to my complaint with, "Oh, our flour shipment was tainted and has
 made everyone sick. It's not our problem, talk to them." The baker ends
 the discussion and will not allow it to be discussed further. You can
 surely imagine that I would not visit that bakery again.

 Please at least address this problem Pidgin, perhaps there is an easy work
 around. We all love your product and that is why we are willing to bring
 these issues to your attention.
