 We do not have /notice support.  Look at the output from /help to see what
 we support.

 You should be able to do the following: /quote NOTICE target :text of
 notice

 You could also install the
 [http://plugins.guifications.org/trac/wiki/PluginPack Purple Plugin Pack]
 and use the irc-more plugin, which provides /notice support.

 Ideally /notice support should be moved to the IRC protocol plugin, but no
 one interested has had the time to do so yet.
