 I also use Hughesnet Satellite ISP  HN7000S modem.  Pidgin worked ok until
 I added Buddy Icons.  That act started three days of crashing Modem -
 restarting, fail again, etc.   Finally removed all the Buddy Icons and
 that seemed to fix the problem. There is a reference to this trouble with
 Pidgen 2.0.2 and other versions in the  DSL Broadband reports.
