 One part of the problem is that for a protocol like AIM, the "Room" field
 is named "Room", while for IRC, it is named "Channel". Since the GUI
 changes around so much between protocols (adding/removing choices,
 changing names, etc.), it was probably a programmer decision to let the
 fields reset. On top of that...does it really take that much to type the
 name in again?
