 If I have tabs set to be on top, then I sometimes see the tab for a single
 conversation, but not always. I would prefer the former. It seems as if
 for a new window, the tab does show on top of the window, but if I have
 two tabs open, the tab doesn't show (though the L&F is now correct for
 this case--at least with wimp :))

 Sorry if the component is wrong. I only tested this on Windows.
