 The description for the make_backspace_turn_smiley_into_text.patch was
 wrong (copy/paste error) :

 This patch allows backspace to turn the smiley back into text, hence not
 deleting the smiley.

 it was in the patch header anyway, but Tracks likes to eat patch headers
 on breakfast ... bad beast!
