 IMPS stands for Instant Messaging and Presence Service. This is an instant
 messaging standard by Open Mobile Alliance, readily implemented in many
 modern mobile phones (including various Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson,
 Siemens models and probably others) and also allowing to communicate
 between computers and mobiles. Russian Beeline provides an IMPS service
 together with J2ME and Windows clients, for example.

 Probably this could be implemented in libpurple for use with Pidgin?
